How to make the impossible, possible?

My friend wants her hair straight, dead straight for her wedding ... but we have no idea how to pin her dupatta to her head? She's doing her own make-up and wants to do her own hair too ... but how the heck do we pin that dupatta?!

There's no foundation, no bun or anything we can pin the dupatta on to ... and the dupatta is also quite sheer, so nothing that involved a lot of bobby pins ... help!
