Noor's Creation

Hi,

I live overseas where there is only one store who sells Pakistani clothes, considering our small asian community.
They stock brands such as Khuda Baksh, Sha Posh, Monas by Ally's, Noor's Creation.

For the last few months I have been desperately trying to find contact details for Noor's creation.
I tried searching through online directories and facebook but can't seem to find it. (I notice that Pakistani boutiques have a very small internet presence).
The lady who stocks them won't tell me how to get in touch, which I understand but when she can't bring in something you really want back in stock or in my size it sucks.

Has anyone ever shopped from this brand/boutique before? Or come across it before whilst shopping? Are their items stocked in a boutique? or in department stores? I think it is based in Lahore. I also attached a picture of their clothing label. Would anyone be able to help me find them and perhaps get their business card or get their contact number or a skype user name or whatsapp/viber number.

Also has anyone shopped from the above mentioned brands? And if so where are they stocked?

Mehendi event in London

Okay so because of instagram I know mehendis in Pakistan have everyone wearing lehenga cholis, regardless of whether they are close to the bride/groom.

Has anyone gone to mehendis here in London or the rest of the UK recently, is that the same case, or is it just the very close family that wear the lehenga cholis? I don't particularly know the bride, my family knows the family so I'm going. I just really wanted to wear this lehenga choli again that I had made for someone else's mehendi.

1 Lakh bridals

Hi i had to make this post because i havent seen anyone mentioning affordable bridals in this forum that are around 1 lakh. The minimum i have seen is 2 lakh. I will never be able to justify paying over £1000 (i knw 1 lakh is less then that) for my bridal dress. So can anyone please tell me of any designer that will make a bridal dress for this much? No replicas please. I know i could get a good affordable dress in pakistan but i wont be able to travel there no matter how much i would like to. Thank you for your help

Salaam

My first post here.

I was married in the UK but started divorce proceedings.

In June 2014 I recieved a Talak from London Fatwa Council

In Feb 2015 I re-married in Pakistan and registered the wedding with Nadra and recieved a computerized wedding certificate.

In June 2015 my decree absolute came in.

I wish to sponsor my husband back to the UK but the immigration officer may state we are not technically married as my divorce came after my marriage.

Is there any way to update the marriage certificate in Nadra with the date my decree absolute came into effect ?

They're recently shifted away from any ordering system, so if you don't live in Karachi you can't find anything out about their collection and prices, but their work is BEAUTIFUL. Almost like Bunto. Does anyone know prices? Or been to their exhibitions or knows any details?

I ordered a bridal in January and am thinking of getting something different now. It's stitched and ready in size MEDIUM.

The dress is light beige, with a light green dupatta, with some bits of coral in the work and lining the borders. The work is nice and of high quality and a variety of fabrics are used in the dress--and all of high quality. I usually never post bad reviews of people but I just had a terrible experience with Ansab Jahangir.

I ordered a lehnga choli from her to wear at my brother's wedding and it turned out to be a disappointment. First of all she was terrible at responding and listening to requests, I had to send her multiple messages before I could even get a response from her. I have ordered from several other designers who are extremely kind and cooperative so it was a surprise to me that someone could treat a client and do the work that she did.

I picked out an outfit straight from her pictures she had posted online and just changed the colors. She charged me Rs 50,000 for it and my outfit turned out to have MUCHHH less work than the one I ordered. It didn't look like it cost more than Rs 10,000 to make at most. When I asked her why the work on the outfit was different than the one I ordered her response was, "When you customize an outfit it can turn out different" And then after arguing with her that I only customized the color and that there was a difference in the kaam she said "those details were an extra charge." It was so ridiculous, she never notified me of such a thing when I was placing the order.
I told her to make the outfit according to a 5'5 person (even though I'm 5'4) and I told her to make it so that I won't have any skin showing. I like the look of the shorter choli as long as the lehnga is long enough to come up higher and cover. Instead I got a choli that was super short and the lehnga was so short that if I brought it up then my ankles were showing. I had to go and buy very wide lace to attach to the bottom of the choli in order for it to be wearable. When confronted about this her response was "This is standard size for 5'5 so its not our fault." Also to add to this horrible experience the zip she added to the side of the choli was of terrible quality and wouldn't even close no matter what I did. On the day of my brother's mehndi I had to get sewn into the choli to even wear it.
She had a lame excuse for any criticism I had of the outfit and would not apologize. She literally treated me as if she did me a favor by making me an outfit. I don't know if she's just too busy with her life to put any effort into her clients' dresses.
It wasn't an ugly outfit but for the amount of trouble I went through and the lack of effort on her part it definitely was not worth the money I paid her.

I definitely won't be ordering from her again and I wanted to write this review so that others could beware whether you want to order a formal or bridal.

What to wear at your sister's walima

Hi guys!

So it's my sister's wedding this Summer Insha'Allah and myself and my other sisters are finding it really difficult to decide upon what to wear on the Walima. For the mehndi we've decided to go for lengha choli's and for the baraat day we will be wearing a shirt with palazzo's/sharara/skirt. In terms of colours we have chosen colourful pinks, greens, yellows and orange for the mehndi and eventually decided upon champagne and plum for the baraat. For both days we've chosen a similar colour palette but different outfits because we didn't want to all wear the same thing.

For the Walima, the bride will be wearing mint and pearls so we thought it would be nice to wear pastel colours. However we (well me especially) just cannot decide upon an outfit. Firstly I don't know what kind of cut to go for (floor length dress, short dress with cigarette pants, open jacket?)

Since the wedding is not far away at all and designers don't work during Ramadan, I have less than a week left to place my order and it's proving to be a real headache!

So if anyone could give me any advice, share any ideas or potential outfits I would be extremely grateful!

Help! Does this look right?!

Hi all,
So after months of waiting, I finally got pics of my walima dress. I'm gutted that it looks NOTHING like how I wanted but there's nothing I can do about it. The kaam is hideous and the colour is completely off. It was supposed to be apple green but they've made it into a sky blue/turquoise colour. I wouldn't mind as much except for the fact that my jewellery is emerald green! I think it's going to look strange as it won't go together.

Here's a pic of the dress colour (I hope it attaches since I've cropped it)




And this is the colour of the stone in the jewellery:




There's no way that I can change the colour of the stones otherwise I would have gone for a clear stone. I've seen a picture of this bride and her dress and jewellery don't seem to match either, but somehow it doesn't look TOO bad?





Do you think my dress colour and jewellery will look bad together? I'm hoping it'll look alright once I have my hair and makeup done. Have you ever seen anyone else wear jewellery that doesn't match? Any other suggestions as to what I can do? Is there anywhere I can go in London to get the stone colour changed? I don't think they do that here but any help would be appreciated. If you need more pics then do let me know

I live in the States and my Nikkah is going to be happening in Karachi early 2017, InShaAllah! Since I live in the States I really don't know what nice wedding venues there are and their price range.

Can someone provide a couple suggestions that will be suitable for about 200-300 people. There decorations are nice and if they do the catering as well.

Please also provide the price range for the places.

Makeup artists in pakistan?

Hi guys, i'm going to be getting a married in about a year and a half and i have started thinking about which makeup aritst to go for. My wedding will be in azad kashmir and i would need a makeup artist to preferably travel to the venue. I have been looking and i did contact kashee's however they do not do travel based appointment :( i also found natasha salon and i was wondering whether she would be willing to travel? I can't really go to karachi it's too far. Or if not can anyone suggest any other good makeup artists please?
