Bridal clothing boutiques online
Anyone know of good quality boutiques online with good prices, excellent quality work for bridals? There are so many pages, I don't know where to start. Any help/reviews will be appreciated.
I've contacted Noorz boutqiue..their work is awesome according to the pictures but their prices are high! I would rather pay a little more and get a real branded bridal than a knockoff.
Please help.

Nikkah
Hi all,
Okay so originally plan was to do the entire shadi all together after 1.5 years to 2 years but now recently talks are to do a Nikkah in the coming few months.
The idea is currently being explored. However, if this is the case then the Nikkah will be overseas and the entire shadi will be in Pakistan.
My vision of this Nikkah is to be very simple because although my father will do anything I want - I do not want to waste so much money on one event and then after a year waste way more money on all the other shadi events. Also because my entire family is backhome or in other parts of the world so I want to save all the money and the fun for the shadi events (mehndi,baraat, valima) for back home in Pakistan.
Usually back home and some families here in North America do the Nikkah at the masjid or home and just have dinner at their place with a few family/family friends.
However, I live in a condo and so obviously it would not be big enough to cater to even 20 people. On the other hand, as I mentioned I do not want to go all out and book a hall, stage, catering, etc. I want to stay out of this.
I am the first one to be getting married in my family after a long time and if this Nikkah happens here (which it most probably will) I do not have any ideas as to what I can do to save the cost, have it simple but still have a nice dinner.
I had heard of some girl have her nikkah at the masjid with her and the guys family and then they went for dinner at a nice restaurant with the families and few friends/family friends. A friend of mine also did the same for her engagement back in ISB.
What do you all think of this idea? My only concern with this one is finding a nice restaurant with good venue/decor. Here in Canada Pakistani restaurants and their decor isn't that fancy as back home - atleast as of yet I haven't come across one so, if any of you know do let me know.
Also for my dress - what should I keep as the budget?
I was also thinking that even though this is going to be in a restaurant just to make it a little more exciting I can maybe have a dessert table with cake and other small things they have cupcakes, etc etc with the decor and maybe a backdrop poster. Do you guys think this idea is to birthday like or bridal shower like?

latest bridal MUa in london?
so two upcomings weddings in my family and i need to look for MUA. I have looked at all the big names like Jawad, Lubna Rafiq, Ambreen etc but the brides find them too OTT and want makeup close to whats 'in' in Pakistan these days.

The struggle to find a good makeup artist
Hi all,
So I'm currently on the hunt for a good makeup artist in London and I cannot find anyone who I would trust to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I'm more into the style of makeup they do in Pakistan; Mariam Khawaja, Ather Shehzad, Natasha Salon, Shamain, etc...you get the point. I stronglyyyy dislike the way they do makeup in the UK. I feel like brides here look like drag queens with birds nests for hair, and everything is so unblended and harsh. Regardless of whether or not you tell your makeup artist how to do makeup on you, it still ends up looking drag queen-ish.
I've looked at all the popular MUAs here such as MakeupbyMus, Lubna Rafiq, Azbah, Ambreen, Sadaf, but I really don't like their style of makeup. I'm considering either Nazmeen MUA or Roobia Din but I'm still not 100% sure. I really like Fowzia Towfiq but she's based in Birmingham and she doesn't travel. So yeah I'm super fussy.

Anyways, just wanted some insight of where I can find a decently priced and adequate contact who sells custom Sherwani's in Toronto. I know of Saira Sheikh but I have heard she is over priced and can be difficult to get your opinion across to.
Also, on average, how long does it take to have a custom Sherwani made? I want to go the Pakistan route but am afraid it won't be made in time, or there will be some sort of issues with delivery/tailoring.

Gifts for In Laws family
Hello, I am from the UK.
I am getting married in March and I am wanting ideas of what to give the in laws family.
We are not having a mehndi, magni, walima or anything.
Just one joint day and Nikkah will be done on that day.
I have also said I don't want gold from my mother in law or my own mum. My own mum is insisting on giving me some though.
So I will have 2 sister in laws and 3 brothers in laws.
I asked my future husband what I should gift and he said, brothers don't wear shalwar kameez.
So I thought:
Brother in laws: £50 Selfridges vouchers
Sister in laws: A suit, 2-3 hijabs (they wear the hijab) and perfume
Mother in law: Suit and my mum wants to give her a gold ring (?!?!)
Father in law: Shalwar kameez suit
Groom: Wedding ring, watch, suit, cufflinks and aftershave
Am I missing something? Am i giving too little?

like what sortaf makeup-should i do eye makeup(eyeshadow stuff) or leave it simple with just eyeliner and mascara, what sortaf lips?, how much jewellery, clothes-formal, semi formal or even stylish simple stuff would do?
Obviously, little would seem too little and much may look trashy unless its a format event and that is whats confusing me. I loathe wearing makeup and jewellery so i have no idea what i'm gonna do :confused:

what exactly is "Lajwanti" ?
hello. i have seen a lot of dresses from lajwanti collection but there Facebook page and their website Lajwanti Collections see sketch since they feature dresses from other designers. are they claiming that they can produce replicas of these dresses? their number of Facebook page is also different thant the number they feature on the website. the link to the website on their Facebook page is also different to the link i have pasted above. so i am not sure what they are what they do but they claim to be established in 1999 which means they have quite a lot of experience in bridals. they also have quite a few people like them on Facebook. can someone explain t me what exactly they do? i have a mind to get my bridal ordered from them if they are legit.

"haggling" with designers
Hi all, was wondering if anyone has experience negotiating and ordering from bigger name designers? I know they'll reduce the work if you give budget, but do they typically reduce a quoted price for you? Ie I got a quote from Sania Maskatiya for 220,000 for something. Do designers lower that price and keep the same outfit?
