Hey guys! Quick question. Is it just me or are clothes in Pakistan so frikkin expensive??!?!? ahhh. Currently live in the USA and my mom is making me clothes to wear after my wedding for dawats and all that good stuff. A decent suit in Pakistan which is a bit embroided chiffon is like 700$. I find that ridiculous. This dressed that I have attached is by mina hasan and it's for 95000 rupees. What do you guys think? can anyone suggest affordable clothing like this that I can find In pakistan. I plan to buy at least 15-20 really nice formal dresses for dawats and all that good stuff. I dont have many Pakistani clothes. So will have to buy plenty :( Please suggest and recommend!!

Does he only shoot upper-middle class and the posh? Or this is the reality of most Pakistani weddings? Because all of his brides have amazing dresses, amazing venues, amazing everything. So I am unsure if this is only the posh families or are most pakistani weddings now are higher in standards.
Or is it just that everything is normal but he makes everything look extravagant.

Has anyone had their wedding at this venue or been to a wedding at this venue? I believe its main shahr-e-faisal. Heard its amazing. Pictures of it look amazing from the outside but I haven't managed to find any pictures of the venue indoors. I want to know about the decor, etc.
I messaged them and they cater upto 1200 people max. 350,000 rupees to rent the place - 1200/decor per head (not sure what this exactly means) and the food and floral backdrop for the stage is extra. Their services seem up to the mark and from what I can sense their quality seems good as well as in for the cutlery, tables, chairs, decor.
Is this expensive or is this the average for most banquets in Karachi.
I am trying to avoid hotels for the wedding/mehndi because I heard theyre not "in fashion" anymore. I would like to know more about the Palm, Creek + Marina Club and any other banquets.
I love the Courtyard Venues - extremely beautiful. They told me they are 350,000 including decor minus food. But they only cater to 500 people at max.
Please recommend me places - for my the location is important because of safety (Defence, Clifton, Shahr-e-faisal), quality is important and I want a place which has good decor.
I am confused because I am not sure if all places decor is inclusive (although I do not mind paying a little extra for a floral backdrop for the stage) or for most places decor is separate. Please enlighten me Karachiities.

I will be getting married this august insha'Allah and my MUA is really good but the problem is that she is only available early in the morning at 7 am. So she will be doing my makeup from 7 am to 10 am. MY question is do you guys think my makeup will melt cuz the ceremony starts at 6 pm and I will be going to a different location to take my pics around 12. Also, august will be really hot and my skin is oily too but she is really good when it comes to makeup and the only one I like. Everyone's input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
My mom has a beautiful chatta patti gharara and heavy gold worked dupatta that she had handmade for me years ago in Lucknow. I'm looking at different designers now for my bridal, and I just realized that because prices are SO high, it might work out better to use the gharara and dupatta as a base.
Here's a question - do bigger name designers ever take something existing? I'd want to add some color/kaam to the dupatta and get a heavy worked shirt, and I'd be will to pay like 300,000. But do you think designers are open to doing that? Or do they have to make your full jora

I'm getting married in March and need a makeup artist. My photgrapher is suggesting we go to Sobia's for all the evnts but from what i've seen in pictures it seems that Sobia's is only good at baraat day makeup, whereas their walima makeup is very underwhelming. Does anyone have experience with Sobia's or any other MUA in this area? Also, my cousin last year went to the Depilex in Chaklala scheme 3 and we all vowed never to go there again, as they made us all look like overdecorated cakes.

So, I am going to get married next near. Currently I am getting together ideas for my outfit on my barat day in the Uk. I'm not considering on wearing red and thinking of a pastel colour dress. I want a classy look, nothing too much but at the same time, nothing too simple. So wondering if any of you guys have pics or ideas of such outfits?
