I'm looking to buy a replica bridal dress from
figurafashion.com in India, I have read negative reviews but then again I'm not sure if they are real or not as I have read negative reviews about pretty much everything out there! Ordering online is my only option unfortnetley and so far trying to find an authentic vendor has proved impossible with all the conflicting information out there! I won't be able to afford designers.
Any authentic info would be appreciated.

Can anyone help tell me where to buy Hyderabadi jewellery from? I live in the UK and can't find anywhere that sells these. I'm looking for a choker, 7 layered pearl necklace and tikkah and jhummar and earrings.

Did you ladies do "save the dates"? How far in advance? Also, should we just list the wedding date or include the mehndi/walima one, as well? I want to make sure that everyone knows to keep those days open BUT I don't plan on inviting every single person invited to the wedding to the mehndi/walima...I've only seen gora people save the dates so no clue as to how desis do it.

Well I got boyh my mendi and barat day make up from Jugnu. Mendhi was done by lady called hama done a lovey job I told her I wanted it natural n dats how she did it.
Baraat day uff der was soo many brides around 15/20 all jus sitting around waiting for their turn. My make up was done by Jugnu himself although he done a lovely job I got compliments for both my mendi n baraat look. The service its
problems.
The bride jugnu was doing before me he seemed to leave her half way and abbas had to finish her of which meant da bride he was working on had to wait for him to finish jugnus bride. That was odd. When it came to my turn jugnu was not around I had to kick of a bit of a fuss as I was going to get late. Finally jugnu shows up and does my make up once again I kept it simple n natural and jugnu seemed to understand this.
I felt that the place has poor cutomer service and they give priority to favourite or special clients, and allow them to jump the que and push ahead of other clients who waiting.
I also got my mendi done from a guy called honeh who workw at Jugnus mendi came out really dark and nice.
The lady who done my mendi hair told me that dey always overbook and have more customers then staff can deal with cus they are under staffed.
my baraat hall was Ramada Hotel in Isb which was lovely, once agai I got lovely compliments about the place.

Hi,
What's the best way to store my wedding dress (dress, lehenga and dupatta) - it's a lot of material and the skirt in particular is really soft and delicate.
It didn't come with a garment bag or anything. But should I get one? A specific type - should it be breathable or waterproof? A separate bag per item or is it ok to keep the three-piece outfit in one bag?
Or should I just find a plastic box that it will fit in, and fold it up with pieces of tissue paper inbetween?
What's the normal thing to do?
I'd appreciate all help!

Anyone do their own makeup for the mayoun/mehndi/wedding? How'd that work out for pictures? Regrets?
I'm debating doing my own vs hiring my wedding MUA to do mehndi too...I want no-makeup makeup but definitely have blemishes/acne prone skin that I don't want showing up in pictures.

Since gold plated kundan or other styles of jewelry is the new trend as well as the most cost effective option now, does anyone know of any Facebook groups/pages or any sellers that have an online business and ship jewelery to you directly that is really nice and reasonably priced? I am looking for a few pieces like a jhumar or matha patti for my mehndi. Any recommendations for any good jewelery pages on facebook or any sellers would be much appreciated!!!

HI Guys!
I am having a 400 people wedding in March and unfortunately that does not allow me to have an elaborate budget for wedding favors. After days of contemplating having a different and unique favor, I have concluded that the most cost effective option is just to do the standard candy bags.
Do you guys know of any online sellers on facebook or website that make reasonably priced but really cute favor bags or boxes and ship worldwide from Pakistan? Or even in the US? I want to keep the cost of the bag/box around $0.50 at max because ill have to spend money on filling them up as well.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I am looking for formal wears to be worn at weddings, my sister's SIL is getting married next year in feb n looking for dresses for my sister...she is short n little chubby n have two little kids...between she is the only bhabhi of the family too. I was asking her not to go for long maxi type dresses but won't the short shirt with cigaratte pants look odd on short person too? Any advice please...
She also has a beautiful heavy embroided net shirt piece in dull gold that she wants to use for wedding wears any advice on that would also be appreciated.

Hi there. It is my devars wedding summer 2015 IA in mirpur Pakistan. We have decided to do all the shopping before going there as a lot of us are going and unfortunately it would be difficult to get clothes for everybody in time. I have come across some online boutiques but I would appreciate any feedback on any shops or boutiques. Also...my budget for the main days is max £200 for each suit as I also would like to buy similar suits for my two nanands in Pakistan. It does make it hard but I really want them to feel part of it. Their funds do not allow so I'm hoping to get outfits for them too. If it helps I'm from Birmingham...We have alot of bridal boutiques. . But im hoping to explore all possibilities. We're trying to keep everything halal and not give aunties a reason to talk so elders wanna do nikkah at the mehndi ...anyone have experience with this? How did you/the couple do it? I have those red jaali dupattas that I was GONNA wear for the wedding but now maybe I should come out in the mehndihall with that, do the nikkah, take that off and do the mehndi rasam? My outfit is still gonna be typical mehndi attire (yellow + chattapatti + flower jewelry + minimal makeup).

how do you feel about the "first look" trend that's popular with desi couples nowadays? I was really not into it because I always wanted my husband to see me when I walked in on stage with a veil but i'm growing fond of the idea of spending some time privately together when you first see each other dressed up.
How did you do it with nikkah/religious restrictions? Did you do the first look before the nikkah? I'm curious if it's something that people are into.

Alright people..
In need of some major help. My shaadi is end of March Inshallah in Pakistan and I will there about a week and a half before the wedding. Any suggestions of what I can do for my bridal? I don't really have the family option because quite honestly I don't trust anyone with my clothes other than myself.. the amount of bhaag dor I can do.. no one else has the time to do that.
Pleas recommend reasonably priced people/stores that I can go to. I was even thinking of something ready made on an urgent basis but I don't know price ranges for that either.
Not looking for anything super fancy.. am on a major budget with med school loans so need to pull off a bridal less than Rs. 1 lakh.

As an Event Manager i always seek for some nice background tracks which keeps the party alive.

Where did you get ready on the wedding day? Your house? A hotel? A salon? How early?
I'm getting married in a community center 45 mins from my house. They're letting me use a room to get ready but only for 2 hours before the event...problem is, my photographer wants to take couple shots/do a photoshoot...I don't know if I'm going to have time to get hair + makeup done AND get pics taken AND be ready in time for my entrance. Event is supposed to start at 7pm (so I get the room at 5pm)...any alternatives? Advice? I don't want to plan for that and then be screwed because there isn't enough time to get ready and stuff. What do other people do in that situation?
